From Dream To Duty

Deputy Torrell Jones has served Lexington County since 2015, steadily working his way from patrol to field training and traffic before earning his dream role in the K-9 Unit. Inspired by his mother’s service in law enforcement, Jones has built a career around dedication, growth, and giving back. Whether reuniting missing loved ones with their families or building trust with kids in local neighborhoods, he brings heart, professionalism, and purpose to every shift—embodying the values that make the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department stand out.

Lead By Example

Administrative Sergeant Ormica Thomas has built her career on strength, mentorship, and a commitment to making a difference. Inspired by her mother’s 12 years in corrections, Thomas joined the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department in 2014 and steadily rose through the ranks—from line officer to sergeant. Known for her steady leadership and deep compassion, she balances inmate care with officer development, guiding new recruits the same way her own mentors once guided her. In a demanding role, Thomas remains a calm, steady force—leading with heart, grit, and purpose.
